If anyone has mending that needs to be done. I sew.

[He knocks, brusquely as ever, burning bronze as usual. He is carrying pie.]
It's me.
[Spam sort of for Touko]
[He leaves a package of snacks his younger self took and hid on her doorstep: a lot of apples and little pastries. Things without their own packaging, that he recognized as food. There's a handwritten note on old-fashioned, handmade brown paper, in neat, cramped handwriting.]
I remember you said you didn't like people watching. Take care of yourself.

[Because he can infer that at least part of that is about avoiding Kelsier.]

The CES is - running on a treadmill. It's not real. And burning aluminum when I leave it just reinforces the cage I have here.

You won't have to stay aboard for the next one.

Being a Mistborn is beautiful. It's graceful. Mistborn become killers, but they're not born to it.
I don't want to kill anymore. I want to be Mistborn. But I'm trapped with killing, and I don't think I'll ever get my powers back.

Have you told Charles that? Exactly that, all of it.

I didn't even really think it.
[Not until just then. He's a little surprised his own self.]

It sounded. Worthwhile, to me.

[It's a little bit dour, but mostly just conversational.]
Kelsier didn't snap until very late. I mostly thought of them as...everything I disliked about nobles, but moreso.
But that - you made it sound lovely, just now. A fine thing to want to be. I don't know Charles well. But I think any good warden would respond to that.

I'll talk to him.
...noble Mistborn have a world, you know. At night. After a while, you get to recognize most of those who live near you - not who they are, but they way they use metals. The way they move in midair. There are never more than a handful anyway.
I think there's an understanding that most of their masters never feel.
You know I fought with Kelsier once. I thought he was someone from Elariel - I think he knew I was Venture. I didn't realize it was him until we fought here, and I saw him use a technique I've never seen anyone else try.

[He doesn't shudder, but he doesn't fully manage to suppress it, either. Softly -]
Tell me about how he is, then. As a Mistborn.
[It's not a side of Kelsier he rejected, exactly. Scoffed at, a little (he always was a show-off), and then had other things to do, away from the rest of the rebellion, and never really. Saw.]
