[She hears shuffling around her door and it's always smart to go look, especially if she doesn't expect it. She cracks the door a little to make sure it isn't someone who wants to cause trouble only for her to see one of the really creepy-looking new arrivals around.

She doesn't slam the door. If she can talk to Zane, she can talk to someone she doesn't even know.]
